The Gran Teatre del Liceu<\/strong> has awarded Maestro Josep Pons<\/strong> its 2025 Gold Medal for Artistic Merit<\/strong>, the institution\u2019s highest distinction, in recognition of his artistic career and his outstanding contribution to the theatre\u2019s musical excellence.<\/p>\n

Since 2012, Josep Pons has led the Liceu Orchestra and Chorus, shaping one of the most artistically fruitful periods in the theatre\u2019s modern history. His musical leadership has forged a distinctive sound identity and earned the company both national and international acclaim.<\/p>\n

The official ceremony will take place on 17 November 2025<\/strong> at the Liceu.
