"In recognition of the artistic merits of Maestro Josep Pons Viladomat and his eminent role as principal conductor at the head of the Spanish National Orchestra and Choir, during whose tenancy the institution has deepened significantly its artistic and cultural foundations, increased its international projection and undergone an unprecedented modernization process, I order:

The appointment of Mr. Josep Pons Viladomat as Honorary Conductor of the National Orchestra and Chorus of Spain".
