‘Ópera Actual’ Prize 2025

Conductor Josep Pons has been awarded the Ópera Actual Prize 2025 in recognition of his long and outstanding artistic career and his dedication to opera in Spain. The award ceremony took place at the Círculo del Liceo in Barcelona and gathered many prominent figures from the operatic world.
In this edition, the award was also given to the Valencia-based Palau de les Arts and to soprano Montserrat Seró as the most promising young artist.

This accolade shines a light on Josep Pons’ contribution to the operatic scene and marks an important milestone in his career of musical leadership, artistic vision, and cultural impact.
