The 2026 Festival Ravel opens with a night dedicated to Manuel de Falla

On 26 August, Josep Pons opened the 2026 Festival Ravel, conducting the Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse with Bertrand Chamayou as soloist at the Church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Saint-Jean-de-Luz.

Entitled A night in a Spanish garden, the concert formed part of an edition exploring the deep musical connections between France and Spain and commemorating the 150th anniversary of Manuel de Falla’s birth. The programme placed Falla’s music at the heart of this dialogue, in repertoire closely associated with Pons’s artistic and recording career.

The concert was recorded and broadcast by France Musique and is available to listen to again on its platform.
