Poulenc in Toulouse

On 7 and 8 February 2026, Josep Pons returned to conduct the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse in a programme devoted to the sacred music of Francis Poulenc.

The concert brought together two of the French composer’s most representative works in this field, Stabat Mater and Gloria, scores that combine spirituality, refined orchestral colour and remarkable expressive richness. The performances featured soprano Lauranne Oliva and the Orfeón Donostiarra.

The collaboration offered a further opportunity to explore the French repertoire, an area that has played an important role throughout Josep Pons’s career and in his work with leading European orchestras.
